Our college invites Professor David Andrew Barry from the Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne to give an academic presentation.
In this report, Professor D.A. Barry introduced a series of field observations and simulations conducted by his team on Lake Geneva. Taking the example of Lake Geneva, the effects of temperature, wind, and lateral inflow on hydrodynamics and water quality in large lakes were systematically analyzed, and it was pointed out that heat content and oxidation are key factors in controlling lake water quality. During the exchange and discussion session, our teachers and students collaborated with D A. Professor Barry had a lively academic interaction on research methods, future directions for expansion, and domestic lake dynamics research.
